Why you decided to compete for the Royalty Court - One of my counselors at school came up to me and just randomly asked me if I had a talent and I started laughing and was like "Ummm....why?!" Then she started to talk to me about the opportunity to run for the court and explained the pageant and whatnot to me. I thought it sounded fun and knew it would be very helpful for my college tuition as well.

What do you expect from this year as a Royalty representative - I expect to learn a lot more about Marysville and the community. I've never gone to the Strawberry Festival, so I think it will be a good opportunity to see how the town comes together, despite all the diversity, as one to celebrate this time of the year and the events. I also expect to meet many new people and build some great new friendships, which I have definitely already began to do with Julianne and Elizabeth.

Ever attended the Strawberry Festival? No

Who is your role model?  My Mom

Why? My mom is incredibly supportive of my academics as well as athletics. She's always at all of my games, even if they're at the Canadian border. She'll place all of her things on the back burner if I need anything done. She's amazing. I love her so much, she is a great person and even better mother.

Future plans (ex. which college, what profession, etc.) - I will be attending Eastern Washington University in the fall to study Pre-Law. I then plan on attending Gonzaga Law School. My ultimate goal is to be a prosecuting attorney.

Your advice for future Royalty Candidates? Always enjoy the parades. When they're over, they're over. And you should definitely dance on the float, its the best part! Enjoy the experience, and the bonds you make with the other candidates and board members. Its an amazing thing to be a part of!
