This weekend was a pivotal weekend for us. I wish that we could have had this weekend sooner - but alas, it is what it is.
My brother, Mike, and Greg and his son Payton fireproofed the plywood decking of the float prior to our installation of the Astroturf.
John Hiatt, Jodi's husband - owners of Marysville-Everett Ceramic Tile (in Marysville), came done with Chuck and our Astroturf carpet on Friday and pretty much installed it. They were our saviors! Not only does it take time - but John has the right tools and the knowledge of how to handle the material around all of those "new" curves that added to the float. We had about 56 square yards to cover....and it took most of the day. But it really looks nice! Especially outdoors.
Now we can start decorating! Hooray!
We also worked on the speaker platforms - and how they sit under the folding sides.
Greg continued to work on animation solutions.
