Presents

the Marysville Strawberry Festival's

77th GRAND PARADE

NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR 2008!

The marquee event of the 2008 Marysville Strawberry Festival is unquestionably the North County Bank & Roy Robinson Chevrolet/Subaru Grand Parade, held on Saturday, June 21st at 7:45 PM.

The North County Bank & Roy Robinson Chevrolet/Subaru Grand Parade is one of the most popular destinations for traveling floats on the circuit. Featuring participants from all over the Northwest, our event is known as the premier parade of the North Puget Sound region. We are affiliated with Northwest Festivals Hosting Association which guarantees float participation from our members.

You will also see marching bands, precision drill teams, local commercial entries, antique cars & trucks and other local organizations.

We also have had as regular participants, the Seafair Pirates, the Lake City Vigilantes, the Keystone Cops, the Clan Gordon Pipe Band, the Sultan Twistie Twirlers and many other notables.

Also, as in keeping with the Festival's tradition, you might see a surprise entry-one that generally doesn't participate in our area.

The two hour parade is a night parade and has generated an overwhelming amount of interest from spectators as they get to see entrants use their creativity in decorating their units with  a variety of lights. With Seattle's Seafair as the nearest evening parade (and a month later)-the Strawberry Festival's Grand Parade draws visitors from several counties.

The parade starts at 7:45 PM and begins at the intersection of 76th Street NE & State Avenue. It proceeds south until 3rd Street (Downtown) where it turns east and comes to a stop at Alder Avenue.

It is recommended that you allow yourself plenty of time for parking and getting that "right spot" for viewing. The Kiddies Parade is held prior to the Grand Parade at 6:00 PM and draws spectators to the parade route early.

The Grand Parade is produced with the incredible help of the Seafair Marshals, the Marysville Police Department, the Marysville Fire Department and many volunteers.
