A big THANK YOU to all the board members and volunteers for all their planning and hard work they have put into this year’s festival. Also to the City of Marysville, Tulalip Tribes, and all our sponsors THANK YOU for helping to make this year outstanding!

Letter from the Queen

Welcome to the 80th Strawberry Festival!

The city of Marysville is once again in the spotlight as it celebrates a landmark anniversary: an event to stage the beauty of our humble town.

The familiar strawberry-red has now extended its meaning to symbolize the elegance and regality of this year’s theme: “Berrywood”, like Hollywood, but with a hometown touch. Unlike Hollywood, the Strawberry Festival is able to provide entertainment and reasons to celebrate without the fictitious drama. We, the Marysville-ians have genuine spirit and an unprecedented sense of community that could never compare.

Despite the real life drama of an economic crisis, the Strawberry Festival brings out an exceptional sense of community pride and awareness among the residents. The festival brings the spirit of joy and unity; such celebratory feeling that defines the very presence of our festival.

Thank you to the volunteers, community businesses, and individuals who contribute to this wonderful event. We truly appreciate all you have done for our community. Your efforts and diligence are the power that fuel every aspect of the Strawberry Festival.

To all, let’s embrace camaraderie and support our very own Marysville . See you all at the festivities!

Lights, Camera, Action! It’s time for the Strawberry Festival!

2011-2012 Queen Louie Vital
