MARYFEST SELECTS HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS HOTEL & SUITES AS THE FESTIVAL HOTEL FOR 2008

Maryfest's Hospitality Committee has selected the Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites on 8606 35th Avenue (88th Street NE, I-5 exit #200) as it's Festival Headquarters for the 2008 Marysville Strawberry Festival.

In previous years, the Festival has used the Hawthorn Inn & Suites in Smokey Point. Festival participation had grown to the point where local hotels/motels could not accommodate certain functions all in one place - but with the completion of the Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites last year - we are now able to bring this part of our Festival back to Marysville.

"We sincerely thank the Hawthorn Inn & Suites for serving us so well over the last few years - and for providing us with a facility that could handle all of our needs in one place," said Bobbi Young, Hospitality Committee Chairperson. After surveying Festival participants the last couple of years -the only concern that surfaced was the distance from the hotel to all of the activities. By relocating back to Marysville - the Festival Hotel will be 6 miles closer - and hopefully will make a difference to those concerned.
