STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL ELECTS NEW OFFICERS AND BOARD

The results are in from the membership - and they have selected Angie Miller to lead the Festival in 2009-2010 as President. Angie has served on the Maryfest Board for several years, most recently as Vice President. She has also served for several years as the Festival's Secretary.

Elected as Vice President was Frank Michal, Vice President Elect - Jodi Hiatt, Secretary - Janet Cavalli and Treasurer - Nancy Bell.

Elected to two-year terms as Board of Directors were: Teresa Bates, Janet Cavalli, DC Clemmons, Jodi Hiatt, Joan Holmes, Bo Vieweg and Bobbi Young. They join Judy Anderson, Nancy Bell, Kerri Jorgensen, Debbie Libbing, Frank Michal, Barbara McNair, Angie Miller and Troy Van Horn who have one year remaining on their terms.

Right after the announcement of the winners were read, a letter of resignation was read from newly elected Secretary Janet Cavalli. The Board moved to accept her letter and her newly elected Board position was filled by the next largest vote getter - Linda Farrington. The Board also moved that the Office of Secretary would be filled by Kerri Jorgensen.

Congratulations to all of the newly elected Board members and Executive Officers! Great job - Elections Committee! I think that we have the makings for a great start to 2010!
