77th GRAND PARADE

SORRY! WE ARE NO LONGER TAKING APPLICATIONS FOR THIS YEAR'S PARADE. 

All of your wishes come true when you "Wish Upon a Berry" with us!

For your convenience you may complete your application and press release online. You will need to fax your signed indemnity form and insurance certificate to 360-651-9854. You may also mail any required paperwork and payment to our office at the address on the application.

Key points:

  1. When your insurance company sends proof of insurance to us PLEASE have them write the name of your entry or your organization participating in the Grand Parade on the form!
  2. Finally, we need current, updated entry descriptions in order to produce a quality script for the television crew and our announcers. Please limit your descriptions to no more then 50 words.
  3. Float check in will remain the same as always (School District Bus Barn area).
  4. Bands, Drill Teams and Equestrian units have a special check-in on the corner of State Avenue and 76th Street. NO ONE ELSE WILL BE ABLE TO CHECK-IN HERE. Staging areas may have changed, so you must check in.
  5. Everyone not mentioned above, please CHECK-IN at the corner of State Avenue and 80th Street in front of the Duce Professional Building (same as last year).
  6. PLEASE let everyone in your group know where your specific check-in location is.
  7. Passes will be required to drive any vehicle into the CHECK-IN area at 76th Street. Vehicle passes as well as any other information will be sent to you prior to Parade Day. NO ONE will be allowed to drive into the CHECK-IN area at 76th Street without this pass. Photo copies of passes will not be allowed.
  8. Please include that name and address of the person in charge of your group/organization on Parade Day on all correspondence.

We are asking for your HELP this year to make your participation trouble free.

Commercial and Political entries must be lighted and entertaining. All commercial entrants will have a parade fee of $250.00. Commercial entries are limited to two vehicles per application packet. Parade fees for political entrants are $300.00. These fees must accompany your application.

Parade Application Deadline - May 1st, 2008

We have reserved a block of rooms at the Holiday Inn Express, 8606 36th Avenue NE in Marysville (about 2 miles from parade check-in), telephone number (360) 530-1235 for all festival participants. Please note that this is a change from previous years! To receive the special room rate, please mention that you are part of the Marysville Strawberry Festival. All hotel reservations will need to be confirmed by May 1st, 2008 in order to receive the special rate. Directions to the Holiday Inn Express - I-5 to exit #200 (88th Street NE) - go east to the first light off of the freeway (39th Avenue) - then take a right (south) to the hotel.
