Why you decided to compete for the Royalty Court? I decided to compete for the Royalty Court because I wanted to represent the city that I am proud to live in, and also because it would provide a scholarship that would help me become the first in my family to attend and graduate from college.

What do you expect from this year as a Royalty Representative? I don't know exactly what to expect, but what I am looking forward to is representing Marysville and our amazing strawberries, making the people we wave
to in our parades smile, and most of all, the memories and fun times I am going to have with my fellow ambassadors, Cassie and Alicia. =)

Ever attended the Strawberry Festival?  No

Who is your role model? My Aunt Cathrin!

Why? My Aunt Cathrin is an amazing woman of God who is the person she is today
because she trusted Him with her life. She graduated from college with a BA and is blessed with an amazing husband and a beautiful home. She is a testimony to me showing the amazing things that can happen if you love God with all your heart, soul, and mind.

Future plans  - I hope to attend Seattle Pacific University and recieve a Bachelors Degree in
English Teaching and a minor in Music and/or Spanish. I dream of becoming an elementary school teacher and making a positive impact on the children of our community.

Your advice for future Royalty Candidates - My advice to ALL future Royalty Canidates is simply, Be Yourself!!! Don't worry about what other people think of you, because if you can't be yourself, than who CAN you be?!  You'll only have fun if you let go of your insecurities and enjoy
yourself. I'd rather be hated for who I am, instead of loved for who I am not. Besides, wouldn't it be boring if everyone was exactly alike? =)
