2010 Strawberry Shortcake Eating Contest

Strawberry time is almost here again. If you're one of us that can't get enough of this delectable fruit, here's an opportunity to enjoy all you can eat. The Marysville Strawberry Festival folks will again sponsor the "Strawberry Shortcake Eating Contest" on Saturday, June 19th, at Asbery Field in Marysville.

The contest will start at 1:00pm and will finish shortly after 3:00pm. We are looking for contestants who can't resist the challenge. In addition to enjoying a favorite food dish, you may wish to challenge a friend, co-worker, or maybe one of our City leaders! Corporate sponsored eaters and challengers are encouraged to enter. Even our Senior Royalty is looking to participate. Bring your cheer team, dress like royalty and eat to win!

We will start at 1:00pm with the kids, then on to the teens and then the adult challengers. Entry forms are available with the below link for all of those who are tempted. Or for further information please call Joan at the Strawberry Festival Office in Marysville at 659-7664.

Also, the word is in the wind that the 2010 Festival heads are anticipating a challenge!

Sponsored or Challenges 3:00 to the last person standing

Entries due by Friday, June 12th! 

 
The entry fee is $3.00 for children and $5.00 for teenagers and adults with all proceeds going to the Marysville Food bank.  Collection food bins will be available with a can of canned food equal to $1.00 off the entry fee.
