The weekend before our festival the float made
the trip to Kelowna for their parade and they were here Saturday night for
ours. It is a 5-6 hour drive both ways. We crossed the border at Sumas so there
were no problems and no pay required. Imagine that. Nice drive and great people
up there. They really went out of their way for us. We did win 1st place -
Community Category.
This weekend, June 27th is the parade in Pt. Orchard. Just got the information
faxed to me. The parade starts at 6pm. Judging is at 4pm. The float and truck
will be leaving town no later than noon. If you plan on attending please contact
me. This is a day trip. The latest we will be getting back should not be past
11pm. Hopefully earlier.
Our next parade will be in Sedro Woolley on July 4th. We will be back early
afternoon so if you are going to a BBQ you will be able to make it.
