LEAVENWORTH

by Carol Kapua:

Hi to all,

It was a great weekend in Leavenworth. We had a great crew so the float went together and tear down went very well. Those that were in Leavenworth were Bobbi, Angie, Judy, Richard, Arvin, DC, Tom, Dave and Jonny Workman (Past President now living in Missouri), Jodi, Tamara, Kurt, Hunter, Queen Shelby, Linda (the cross dresser) and Jr. Royalty Sara. The girls did a great job and we won the Mayors award. This is the highest award that we have ever won there. Great job everyone! Shelby had to get home because she was going on a senior cruise. Hope you had a great time. The rest of us went to the BBQ provided by the Applarians. I hope you all thanked them. Some of us went to another party given by the Capitalarians and then some of us headed for home. Thank you all for the support.

This weekend is the last parade in Issaquah. Hope that you all will be there for the support. The float needs to be together by 7:30am to be moved to assembly. Judging begins at 8am. Parade starts at 10am. Chuck will be taking the float down so if you need a ride contact Chuck. The float should be leaving no later than 5:15am from the tribal court parking lot.

The weather does not look very good right now for the morning so make sure you have your windbreakers. If the weather is bad we may wear them instead of the blazers. Bring both. It will be white shirts, black pants, black shoes. You may want to all bring extra clothes in case you get wet.

Since this is the last parade it will be the last time you will see your festival friends 'til next year.

Thanks for all your help and support. If I left your name off it was not done on purpose. We did have a guest in Leavenworth and she carried the banner and Teresa brought her. Thank you.

Okay Frank, it was a draw this weekend.

Happy Birthday to Jodi! It was Monday.
