SEDRO WOOLLEY

Pictures to come!

by Carol Kapua:

Hope everyone had a great fourth. For those of you who did not attend the parade in Sedro you missed a very warm one. The crowds were bigger than ever.

We were very fortunate to have so much help from Shelby's family (father, grandfather, grandmother, aunt, brother and niece and nephews) and Sara's father. It was great and very much appreciated. Also helping was Chuck, Judy, DC and myself. After putting the float away we had our usual picnic. We put our float together using someone's yard, who were very kind to let us use their bathroom, which really was very nice. They had a very nice tree in their yard that we sat under to eat. We left and came home and I believe that we were back around 2:30. Thank you all for all the help.

This Saturday is the parade in Sultan. The truck will be pulling out by 8am. I have the following going and if I have missed your name please let me know so that travel plans can be made for transportation. Chuck is driving, George, Rick, Ricky, Teresa, Sara, Judi, and now I do not know.

Sunday is the parade in Kent. Chuck again is driving. Those people I have going to this parade so far is Debbie, Sara, George, Jodi, Judy, DC and maybe Kerri. If I have omitted your name or if you are able to attend please let me know. Departure time is 11am from the caboose.

The following weekend is the weekend from ????. The first parade is in West Seattle. Unless there is a change the float will be leaving from the caboose by 8am. At this time the driver is going to be Tom. Teresa and Sara will be going to this one as well as the Sr. Royalty. George will also be going and Sara will leave with him after the parade. DC will be meeting us there. If anyone else could do this parade it would be nice. From that parade we will tear down and travel to Olympia where we will have fresh help and that will certainly be nice. From there the float will travel back to Seattle and spend the night in Chinatown.

The next day which is Sunday the parade is in Chinatown. The truck will leave (time to be determined) with the bleachers for Chinatown. We will need to find a location to leave the float and take the bleachers back to Marysville and return on Monday to pick up the float and trailer.

Your kokua is very much appreciated. Remember we do all these parades because they come to our event. It is a payback. Thank you for all you can do. Please let me know what you are able to do.
