CASHMERE

Greetings,
 
It was a warm 85 in Cashmere. Very nice day. The float crew consisted of Chuck, Stan, Melva and DC. We had additional help from Junior Royalty family members Connie, Mrs. Coates, her 2 sons and of course Teresa. Teresa and Connie did the cooking and everyone pitched in. Great help from everyone. The Coate boys carried the banner. They did a great job and it was so nice to have all the extra help. Before the girls went off to the ice cream social they made strawberry shortcake which we shared with Wenatchee, Manson and Royal City. We got home by midnight. Thanks Chuck on your first outing this year. Our Jr. Royalty did it....they got us the Pride of Cashmere, which is equal to Grand Sweeps. Way to go gang! We all had a good time.

Our next parade is in Sedro Woolley and I do not have any info for that yet. Will get back to you all about it. Please let me know if you are interested.

Hot off the press, Mayor Dennis Kendall gave his resignation tonight and his last day will be 8/2/10. The new mayor will be John Nehring. I was there to see and hear this.

Debbie Libbing is going to have an exchange student and if anyone is interested in doing this let Debbie or me know as I have the application. They are in need of 2 more host families. If you have never done this is it really fun for you and for the students.
