OLYMPIA

by Carol Kapua:

Here we go. Friday the packet crew left for Olympia... Angie, Teresa, Judy and Richard (the driver). Thank you all for promoting our festival and helping with the float. The float crew consisted of Jodi, Kerri, DC, and Chuck the driver. Melva was the chaperone for the Royalty Kaija, Haley and Ella. You all did a great job and worked through the pit holes. Won a very nice award  "Festival with the Best Theme". Congrats.

We have a few that have signed up for West Seattle... Jodi, Frank, Arvin, Kerri, Angie, DC and Chuck being the driver. The Junior Royalty will be representing us. If anyone else would like to join us that would be great. Please let me know. We will be leaving from the Tulalip Tribal Court Parking lot at 7:30am. Judging is at 10am and parade starts at 11am. DRESS ATTIRE FOR THE WALKERS WITH THE FLOAT WILL BE BLACK WALKING SHORTS, RED POLOS AND BLACK SHOES. We need to look like a unit. There is usually something for the Royalty but I have no info on this. Probably will find out when we get there. We will drop the float trailer in Chinatown after this parade as we will be bringing the bleachers down for Chinatown. Melva will be the chaperone and she will be at the Tribal Court Parking Lot. It is located on the Secret Road. Please make sure you know where it is.

Chinatown..... We are will be leaving at 2pm for Chinatown. The bleachers will be taken down at that time and move the float trailer to set up and then we will go have dinner. There is no judging for this parade and the parade starts at 7pm. Chuck will be the float driver and the crew will be DC, Melva, Jodi, Kerri, Debbie, Angie, according to what has been given to me. This will be a Senior Royalty parade with Kaija, Haley and Ella with Teresa as chaperone. Parade attire will be BLACK WALKING SHORTS, RED POLOS AND BLACK SHOES. It is nice to dress like we are in unison. As soon as the float is put away it will be taken to a Seafair acquired lot and left and the the bleachers will come back home with us. For those of you concerned Chuck has both batteries and they will be charged and ready to go. If anyone else is going to either of these parades please let me know.

We will see you all this weekend.
